Douglas F. Nixon, MD, PhD
Dr. Douglas Nixon is a professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Nixon’s laboratory works on investigating the immune responses to human retroviruses, both exogenous and endogenous. Dr. Nixon was an Elizabeth Glaser Scientist, is a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation, holds a MERIT award from the NIH, and serves on the NIH AIDS Vaccine subcommittee. He has published over 150 papers in immunovirology and has mentored numerous students and postdoctoral fellows.
