ARI is recruiting for a new Junior Faculty in AIDS Research (JFAR) Co-Chair, with applications due 5p Friday, May 29th. The role of the JFAR co-chair will include setting and executing the JFAR annual agenda (example activities include small workshops/lunches on focused topics, trainings, and networking events at major HIV conferences), engaging the JFAR community to evaluate and plan ARI activities targeted towards early-stage investigators, engaging with other mentoring/junior faculty groups across campus, and participating in the ARI Leadership Committee. Co-Chairs typically serve 3-4 year terms. The role comes with flexible support of $10,000 per year, typically used to cover salary gaps.

Eligibility: Assistant professors and postdoctoral fellows with a UCSF primary or secondary appointment (as long as they can receive funds at UCSF).

Application process and deadline: By 5p, Friday 5/29, please fill out the brief form below (webform link here if there are any issues with the form) and attach your CV/Biosketch along with a 1-page cover letter detailing 1) your interest in the position, 2) your relevant research and mentoring experience, 3) your ideas for enhancing JFAR Program activities, and 4) discuss any other factors you think should be considered by the review committee.
