ARI is recruiting for a new Junior Faculty in AIDS Research (JFAR) Co-Chair, with applications due 5p Wednesday, May 10th. The role of the JFAR co-chair will include setting and executing the JFAR annual agenda (activities can include small luncheons on focused topic - particularly those focused on supporting women and URM investigators, trainings, and networking events at major HIV conferences), engaging the JFAR community to evaluate and plan ARI activities targeted towards early-stage investigators, engaging with other mentoring/junior faculty groups across campus, and participating in the ARI Leadership Committee. Co-Chairs typically serve 3-4 year terms. The role comes with flexible support of $10,000 per year, typically used to cover salary gaps.
Eligibility: Assistant professors and postdoctoral fellows with a UCSF primary or secondary appointment (as long as they can receive funds at UCSF).
